Eid mubarak to everyone of you who is reading this!
I cannot believe Ramadhan is over and that we have already celebrated eid.. it seems like yesterday I wrote the blog post to welcome the blessed month... Oh how time flies!!! Here we are, meeting and greeting friends and family members a very happy eid, the kids are enjoying, all ready in their new shalwar kurta suits and devouring a bit of sheer khurma and a bit of chocolate cake every now and then.
Not to forget their beaming faces on receiving gifts and eidi covers from each of the guests. Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “Exchange gifts, as that will lead to increasing your love to one another.” [Al-Bukhaari]. That feeling of exchanging gifts is quite evident during these days when deep in your heart you have this astounding feeling that you are following the Sunnah as well as showing your love to your family member.
This eid is called Meethi eid and it revolves about having sweet edibles yourself and serving the same to your guests 🙂 I have a sweet tooth and I just love chocolate, and I had arranged for my visitors, a Cadbury flavored chocolate cake by Gelato Affairs, a platter of mixed mithai from Darbar e Shireen and another platter of assorted mixed chocolates.
It was an enjoyable day throughout, and the next two days of eid holidays are jam packed with fun filled activities, looking forward to them, Insha’Allah.
