Of Lightening and Thunderstorms…

thunder, storms, rains, winds, weather While we were coming home yesterday, both of my Betas in the car along with me, we were caught by a sudden downpour. It began raining fast and we were only halfway back home.
The weather in Karachi had been so hot last month that we were more than glad to see such a pleasant change in the weather, both kids beaming and chattering in full excitement, watching huge amounts of water that had collected on the roads now and making discussions of what activity to indulge in as soon as they reached home. The activity they were planning was no other than that of playing out in the lawn in the rain!

Happiness Is…

taking a break, weekend fun, life, holiday

So all of us deserve a break, don’t we??

In fact, so many times, a break from your daily routine is all you want…

Taking a break really helps, by the way, to soothe your nerves, to relax your self and to give yourself time to breathe. Sitting on that chair for hours glaring the computer screen, hogging the kids all day long, same chores, same activities to perform day after day makes your mind uneasy and your body bored! Stuck In Time

timeTeaching how to tell time to kids can be a real challenge as telling time can be confusing and tricky at times 🙂

I mean, real tricky.

Starting from the basics, like counting the numbers and identifying the hands of the clock and moving on to advanced time telling with calculations for how many minutes past or to a certain hour and for how many minutes did a particular activity occur, this time telling activity can leave your child puzzled if not done gradually and properly. Never A Day Off!

Anonymous-pen-pencil.png (300Ă—272)I had decided not to work this Sunday and give myself a break, but couldn’t succeed in doing so. I logged in and checked and replied to all messages and even did some short revision work for a client.

So this is one issue related to freelancing, and that is, you can never get a day’s off from work.Everyday is working day…

Yet everyday can be a non working day if you choose it that way :):) Continue reading

Do Not Give Up!!

do not give up, remain hopefulI had my eyes set over a certain editing job, that I really really wanted to do. There were two solid reasons for that, firstly it was for some Islamic based literature and secondly, it involved use of skills that I have never before done on any other job so it was supposed to be a big plus on my job history….. The Power of Truth

truth

This was a part of the 5 Day, 5 Photos challenge story, it was day 3 for me and was passed by sister fatima at www.islahii.wordpress.com and today I am passing on this challenge to another fellow blogger at https://lifesrosesandthorns.wordpress.com/

I have read this story once at a popular Islamic stories site for kids (islamcan.com). My kids and I just loved it and so did my pupils… I felt like sharing the same story with you that goes very well with the above picture…

Somewhere in some part of the world, an emperor called all the young people in the kingdom together one day and said to them, “I have been thinking about this lately that I must select any one of you to be the next emperor after me.” Continue reading
